RRB GROUP D RESULT 2019 CHECK

The Railway Recruitment Board is all set to declare the Group D Computer Based Test (CBT) 2018 examination results today i.e., March 4, 2019 on its official regional websites.


Candidates, who appeared for the RRB Group D CBT 2018 exam, can check their scores on regional websites of the Board.

According to a notice posted on the official website the RRB Group D results will be declared today at 03:00 pm at https://www.rrbguwahati.gov.in


The List of Candidates shortlisted for PET based on their performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted during the period 17-09-18 to 17-12-18 is scheduled to be declared after 15:00 hrs on 04-03-19.

Candidates can view their normalised marks and shortlisting status for PET by logging in through the link provided on the official websites of RRBs duly entering their Registration Number and Date of Birth in DDMMYYYY format."

The RRB Group D examination (first stage CBT) 2018 was conducted from September 17 to December 17, 2018.

The RRB is conducting the recruitment process to fill around 62,000 vacancies in Indian Railway.

As per the official data, around 1.8 crore candidates had appeared for the RRB Group D recruitment examination last year.


RRB Group D: Recruitment Process

The entire recruitment process shall involve a Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification & Medical Fitness Test.

1) Computer Based Test (CBT)

2) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

3) Document Verification

The date, time and venue for all the activities, namely, CBT, PET and DV or any other additional activity as applicable shall be fixed by the RRBs and shall be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course. Request for postponement of any of the above activity or for change of venue, date and shift will not be entertained under any circumstance

As the first activity, CBT has already been completed by the Board and candidates are waiting for the results. Here we are giving details what to expect in Physical Efficiency Test and Document Verification (DV) & Medical Test.

RRB Group D: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is the second stage of the examination. After clearing the CBT, the candidates will be shortlisted to take the PET.

This exam will be held by the Railway Board to check the physical abilities of a candidate. After qualifying in CBT, it is compulsory to take the PET test.

Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates will be called for PET - Two times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs.

However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this limit as required to ensure availability of adequate candidates for all the notified posts. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criterion for PET is as under:

Male Candidates:-

1.Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without
putting the weight down.

2.Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

Female Candidates-
1.Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down


2.Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance

RRB Group D Document Verification

The candidate who will clear the CBT and PET will be called for document verification.

Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT subject to their qualifying in PET, candidates will be called for document verification.

In case of two or more candidates securing same marks, their merit position shall be determined by age criteria i.e., older person shall be given higher seniority

1) Aadhar Card

2) Caste certificates (For reserved category candidates)

3) Date of Birth proof

4) Class 10th Certificate

5) Medical certificate for PWD Candidates

6) Self-attested Xerox copy of the above-mentioned documents

Candidates may please note that RRBs only recommend names of the empanelled candidates and appointment is offered only by the respective Railway Administrations.
